Dear PRSA Members & Friends:
One of my favorite quotations by Eleanor Roosevelt is: “You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing you think you cannot do.”
Serving as your Chapter President has afforded me the opportunity to grow professionally and take on responsibilities I could have never imagined. Along with the support of a stellar Board of Directors, we were able to keep the Chapter moving forward – providing numerous educational programs and welcoming some new faces to the organization.
I want to thank everyone on the Board for your guidance and for providing such wonderful ideas and input; also, to our members and those who frequent our monthly meetings, for your support.
It is now time for me to pass on the gavel to our President-Elect Denyse Mesnik who will lead our Chapter this year. She’s no stranger to PRSA, a founding chapter member in fact – and quite a delight to work with. The full slate of officers and directors is available below for your review.
In closing, I challenge each and every one of you to get more involved with PRSA and our Gulf Coast Chapter this year… make that commitment to attend our monthly meetings and expand your knowledge, maybe even consider taking on a leadership role, as I did. What is that thing you think you cannot do? Identify it – and do it!
2011 – Immediate Past-President, PRSA Gulf Coast Chapter
What a wonderful evening we had last week celebrating at the PRSA Holiday Mixer at The Club at Naples Bay Resort. It is always a delight to get together with our friends and colleagues and to celebrate our many achievements of this past year.
I was especially pleased to be joined by so many of my colleagues who have served with me on the PRSA Board of Directors this past year. The volunteer guidance and support that they have provided has been tremendous and much appreciated.
It is now time for me to pass on the gavel to our President-Elect Kathy Saenz who will lead our chapter in 2011. Kathy will be joined by a tremendous Board of Directors that includes a number of new faces as well as past PRSA chapter leadership. The full slate of officers and directors is listed below for your review.
I also want to take this opportunity to thank you, our members, for your support. There are a lot of social clubs and professional business organizations in our area and we are very happy for your membership and participation in the PRSA Gulf Coast Chapter.
Here’s wishing you and your family a very happy and joyful Holiday Season and a healthy and prosperous New Year! Cheers!
