PRSA Gulf Coast Chapter Member Gulvas Joins Chamber as Vice President

Kathy Saenz Gulvas has been named Vice President of Communications at The Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce (The Chamber) effective June 25, 2012, Michael V. Reagen, Chamber President and CEO, announced today.

In her new role, Ms. Gulvas brings her experience as a former local TV news reporter and corporate manager to the Chamber’s communication programs, utilized for advancing the Chamber’s mission and five platforms: Member Services, Leadership Development, The Partnership for Collier’s Future Prosperity, Public Communications and Public Policy. As the Vice President of Communications, Gulvas will also serve as Editor for the Chamber’s monthly publication Business Currents.

She succeeds Marci Seamples who has accepted the position of Executive Director of the Williston Area Chamber of Commerce in North Dakota. Williston has recently received national and international media attention as it sits atop the Bakken formation which by the end of 2012 is predicted to produce more oil than any other site in the United States.

Prior to joining the Chamber, Gulvas served as Corporate Communications Manager for INgage Networks in Naples. She also spent three years as the Collier County Bureau Reporter for WFTX-TV Fox 4 News.

Named one of Gulfshore Business magazine’s 40 Under 40 rising business stars in Southwest Florida in 2010, she serves as the Immediate Past President of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Gulf Coast Chapter. Born and raised in Southwest Florida, Kathy graduated from Lely High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication with a minor in Political Science from Florida State University where she graduated with honors.
